I started Classic Rock Esoterica to help preserve the musical culture of the Classic Rock Era. The period began with the arrival of the Beatles in America in February 1964, peaked at Woodstock in 1969 and began it's slow decline in the cold December night at Altamont Speedway.

The music that emerged from that era was extraordinary. Much of it is being lost in a time of programmed play lists. This website celebrates the music and counter-culture that made the era one of the most exciting to grow up in during the 20th century.

Esoterica: Designed for or understood by
the specially initiated alone...

A new generation of Pat Boones waited in the shadows by 1972, inoffensive and ready for their fifteen minutes of fame. Disco was the new, hip alternative to all that sixties nonsense. Suddenly, materialism and shallowness were in vogue.

Join me at Classic Rock Esoterica as I remember those halcyon days of youth.
